After renting the same home for 10 years, our elderly landlord had decided not to renew our lease due to storm damage. We understand. Sadly, rent is tripled in the area and we cannot afford anything. We see that mortgages are more reasonable. We have applied to 3 sets of lenders who all say they could help us with all the disaster assistance and first time homebuyers programs. Then we get turned down. Running out of time and options need lots of prayers. We need a 4 bedroom. Husband on disability, adopting one granddaughter from dcf, our other daughter just had a baby 4 weeks ago and we have a 10 year old. I realize that others have it worse, but I can't help but wonder if by April, if my family will have a place to call home.

Blessings!! This is my first time in writing a prayer request. I just would like for everyone to pray for a financial blessing in my life. I'm been going through a lot and didn't really have much in the beginning. I'm trying to establish employment again and somehow get my car fixed. It the only transportation I have. Hurricane Michael damages my only car I had and I just bought it pre-owned off my best friend three weeks before the storm hit. I need an answered prayer from God to bless me and fine favor over me. Thank you and Merry Christmas and blessing to everyone!

Hello,

I wanted to thank Northstar for calling and checking on my family and I. I am so very thankful to have a church that cares enough to call not just once but twice and ask if we need prayer. It brought tears to my eyes. Yes we do need prayer but not just for my family but for all the families struggling out there that are worried and depressed because our lives have been flipped upside down and around. I have been feeling depressed and very anxious lately bc of our situation but then I recall a message from maybe last year or the beginning of this year. We talked about God's path for us and how we think it should go and then things go way left or right or north/South backwards, just anyway but the way we thought and we talked about patience and discipline and to remain faithfully strong and God puts us through these twists and turns so that we gain a different perspective on life and what's important. At least that's how I took it. So I need prayer for the families out there to not worry but embrace this change the best we all can. Thank you Northstar for being there for my family.
