Who financially supports the church?

Northstar is supported entirely by the generous giving of our members and regular attendees. Everything we do as a church is a direct result of their generosity.

What is tithing?

“Tithe” simply means “a tenth part” which is defined as the first 10% of a person’s income that is to be given back to God through the local church. When we tithe, we are expressing worship in a tangible way by putting God first in our lives. For more information about what the Bible says about tithing, check out these passages: Leviticus 27:30, Proverbs 3:9-10, Malachi 3:6-10, Matthew 6:19-24 and 1 Corinthians 16:1-2

Why do we give?

We give to be like God because God generously gives to us. God gave us His son Jesus. God gives us the ability to work and produce money. When we give we show God our thanks, we show God we trust Him, and we fight against greed in our hearts. When we give we invest in eternity by spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ and helping people find and follow Jesus.
