Wow! I have decided to hit the “reset” button on my expectations and assumptions for our church blog. I have decided to take the plunge and increase the frequency of posts on the blog from one each week, to one every other day. And, to signal that change, I have given my blog a new title:  Life Navigating – Helping You Chart A Course for Success and Significance In Your Life. To tell you the truth, I’m excited and nervous at the same time. While challenging, this new blog will provide a writing outlet for the heartbeat and burden I experience daily for the people of Northstar, as well as the people around the world who are far from the heart of God.

My personal journey has now been years in the making. As I look back over my life, I see God at work in sometimes subtle ways and sometimes blatant ways, opening my eyes to what is important to Him, and thus to me. It has been a steady progression of Him grabbing ahold of my heart on these issues and not letting me go. It is clear to me that this is a journey forward, not backward.

I have many random thoughts throughout a day. These thoughts pass in and stick around for a time, sometimes a fairly short time, and then leave. If that is all they do, then they don’t help me or others. They just come and go like commercials. However, if I am disciplined to grab onto them as they stream by, then I may be able to learn something as I walk through them and wrestle with implications. That is what the blog will enable me to do.

Some of my posts will be short and sweet, others will be a deeper dive. I will try to use more videos and guest bloggers. I am not trying to compete with anyone, and I ‘m not trying to win awards or recognition for this blog. Nor, do we have a broadcast camera or state of the art editing facility to produce high quality polished videos.

What we have is a passion for Jesus and a love for those far from the heart of God and a desire to share both of those with the people who visit the blog.
