Many pastors blog and I happen to think that’s a good thing, especially since yours truly is one of that number. I’ve had a blog for sometime now, but starting a few weeks ago, I have ratcheted up the frequency and changed the expectations of what I wanted to accomplish. The reenergized blog is called Life Navigating, Helping You Chart A Course Of Success And Significance In Your Life.
In the past we did a blog because it was expected. A growing church should have a digital presence and several avenues in which the pastor can communicate with the membership and the outside audience. But more importantly, it is another outlet to impact people’s lives for Jesus Christ. Of course, it will impact very little if it is unread. Today, there is an immeasurable amount of excellent material that is posted on the web. but never viewed.
Which is why I am asking you to check out my blog. It is my hope and prayer that this resource will be a great benefit to you in your walk with God. During the course of a month, you will see articles on a variety of subjects from things in the news to me sharing my thoughts on a particular subject on my heart at that time. Or you may even hear from a special guest blogger or from another staff member in the church. Whoever is writing, you can be confident of this one thing, it has been prayerfully developed and written with a passion for God’s best to be unleashed in your life. I m hoping it will clarify and circulate the mission, vision and outreach of our church.
The question many people will have is why do you invest your time in a blog when you have so many other things to do. Good question. You may recall that early Christianity was spread by circular letter. Colossians 4: 16 says, “After this letter has been read to you, see that it is also read in the church of the Laodiceans and that you in turn read the letter from Laodicea.” We are choosing to invest our time in Life Navigating so that you will be encouraged in your relationship with Jesus Christ and spurred to even greater heights in Him.
I encourage you to check it out and visit it on a regular basis. Then let me know if this blog is helping you in your walk with God.
